The National Committee for a Human Life Amendment, which works closely with the US bishops’ conference on pro-life issues, is urging Catholics to call upon their senators to reject four provisions of an appropriations bill.
The provisions would allow public funds to be used for abortions in the nation’s capital, permit federal health insurance policies to cover abortions, make President Barack Obama’s reversal of the Mexico City policy permanent, and grant $40 million in funding to the United Nations Population Fund.
