Sharia imminent in Sudan
Catholic World News - October 19, 2011
The president of overwhelmingly Muslim Sudan has announced that the nation will soon adopt sharia law.
“98% of the people are Muslims, and the new constitution will reflect this,” said President Omar Al-Bashir, who has been indicted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity in Darfur. “The official religion will be Islam and Islamic law the main source.”
