Vatican: no comment on indictment of Bishop Finn
October 17, 2011
The Vatican has “no intention” of becoming involved in the case of Kansas City’s Bishop Robert Finn, who has been indicted for his alleged failure to report a priest’s possession of child pornography.
“Any intervention could be interpreted as interference,” noted Father Federico Lombardi, the director of the Vatican press office. Because a legal process is underway, he said, the Vatican will not issue comments.
