California forbids circumcision bans

Citing parental rights, Governor Jerry Brown of California has signed into law a bill that prevents local governments from banning male circumcision.
Earlier this year, a superior court judge, ruling that health-care services should be regulated by states and not cities, removed a proposed ban on circumcision from the November ballot in San Francisco.
