Remember African famine, urges Catholic Relief Services

In an interview with Vatican Radio, a Catholic Relief Services staff member in Kenya emphasized that the humanitarian emergency in the Horn of Africa continues, even as the story fades from the news headlines.
“It is extreme, it is dire,” says LeeAnn Hager, referring to a group of Somali refugee camps that now constitute Kenya’s third-largest city. Some 1,300 Somalis arrive at these camps every day.
