Caritas appeal for Ethiopia
CWN - August 29, 2011
Caritas Internationalis, the confederation of Catholic relief and development agencies, has launched a $2.1-million appeal on behalf of drought-stricken Ethiopia.
“Four and a half million people in the country are in need of immediate food aid,” according to a Caritas statement. “Crops have failed, livestock have died, and water sources both for drinking and irrigation have dried up.”
