International Eucharistic Congress in Dublin will not be postponed

The International Eucharistic Congress will be held in Dublin next June, despite a leading Irish politician's call to postpone the event.
Father Kevin Doran, the secretary general of the Eucharistic Congress, told the Catholic News Agency that the current crisis within the Irish Church provides a strong reason to carry forward with the planned event. βIt is especially important for people in times of challenge or crisis that they can gather in solidarity and rediscover their essential truths,β he said.
