Suspended priest offers to perform same-sex marriage ceremonies

CWN - July 22, 2011

A California priest who was suspended from ministry because of his public advocacy for homosexual marriage is now offering to officiate at same-sex "union ceremonies" for a fee.

Father Geoffrey Farrow, who was removed from active ministry in the Fresno diocese, is advertising his willingness to perform "Catholic Nuptial Masses" for $750. He offers the same services for heterosexual and homosexual couples.

Has this idiot been defrocked? I am getting tired of trying to do the right thing as a priest and watch bishop allow these people to go on an on.... He should have been defrocked as soon as he "came out." Now he is offering nuptial Masses for a price? Not a surprise. We have a lot of cowardly bishops who are allowing this kind of nonsense confuse and destroy the faithful.

I assume this man has been excommunicated as well as defrocked. If not, where is his Bishop? He is promoting scandal It would seem to me that this man and others like him should have their excommunication publicly announced so there is no doubt about his status in the Church. Also how and more importantly where will he be permited to conduct these Masses? Certainly not in a Catholic church I hope! Isn't it time the hierarchy "came down" strongly on these dissadents?

Of course, even if it were valid, it would be simony.

Now, at last, we know how much homosexual 'marriage' is worth.
