German court reduces Bishop Williamson's fine
CWN - July 11, 2011
A German appeals court has reduced the fine that had been imposed on traditionalist Bishop Richard Williamson of the Society of St. Pius X for public statements questioning the extent of the Holocaust.
The court ruled that the bishop, who is suspended from ministry, should pay a fine of €6,500 (a bit over $9,000), rather than the €10,000 that he had originally been assessed.
