‘Virtual pilgrimage’ for World Youth Day
CWN - July 11, 2011
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Communication Department has created a web site and Facebook page whereby “virtual pilgrims” can participate in World Youth Day, which will take place in Madrid from August 18-21.
The Facebook page allows those interested to “create their avatar, view live video feed from Madrid, follow key twitter feeds and blogs and upload photos and videos,” according to a USCCB press release.
