Vatican strikes diplomatic accord with Azerbaijan

The Vatican has announced an agreement with the government of Azerbaijan, establishing the legal status of Church institutions there.
The new accord was signed on July 6 by Elmar Mammadyarov, the foreign minister of Azerbaijan; and Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, the Vatican’s Secretary for Relations with States.
