New head of US bishops’ child protection office
CWN - June 03, 2011
Deacon Bernard Nojadera, a psychiatric social worker and therapist who has led the Diocese of San Jose’s child protection office since 2002, has been named head of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Secretariat for Child and Youth Protection. He succeeds Teresa Kettelkamp, who has criticized dioceses that have not released the names of accused priests.
