FDA orders safety review for some birth control pills

Citing concerns about blood clots, the Food and Drug Administration has ordered a safety review of several birth control pills manufactured by the Bayer Corporation. The contraceptives under investigation--Yaz, Yasmin, Beyaz, and Safyral--contain the hormone drospirenone.
