Washington Post profiles Father Ernesto Cardenal

The Washington Post has published a lengthy profile of Father Ernesto Cardenal, the poet and former Nicaraguan culture minister who defied Pope John Paul’s order to resign from his position in the Sandinista government.
While he has since broken with the Sandinistas, Cardenal says that he still dreams of a “perfect society, without classes, the perfect Communism.”
