Papal thanks for US donors' group
CWN - May 05, 2011
Pope Benedict XVI offered his thanks to a group of American Catholic donors in a private audience on May 5.
The Pope met with members of the Papal Foundation, who were led by Cardinal Donald Wuerl of Washington. The group provides financial support for a variety of Church activities: building schools and hospitals, underwriting seminaries, repairing churches, and funding relief programs. Pope Benedict thanked them for their “promotion of charities close to the heart of the Pope.”
