Pope joins prayers for peace in Colombia
CWN - April 18, 2011
During his Angelus audience on Sunday, April 17, Pope Benedict XVI called attention to a Day of Prayer for the victims of violence in Colombia, which will be observed on Good Friday.
“I am spiritually near to this initiative and earnestly urge Colombians to participate in it,” the Pope said. He added that he is praying for those in Colombia “who have been appallingly stripped of their lives and their possessions” during the country’s long civil war.
“No more violence in Colombia, that peace there reign!" the Pope concluded.
