Catholic book, magazine publishers eye e-book option
CWN - April 15, 2011
The publishers of Catholic magazines are facing increasingly difficult budget problems, due to the rising costs of printing and mailing. Catholic book publishers face the same problems. And the financial troubles are compounded by the shrinkage in the Catholic reading audience.
Several publishers are already adapting to the new reality by switching their focus to online magazines and e-books, working neatly around the printing and mailing costs.
