New Polish education minister supports sessions on homosexuality February 26, 2008
Polish education minister Katarzyna Hall has said that she supports allowing non-government organizations to make presentations on homosexuality in public schools, the newspaper Dziennik reports.
Hall's position is a reversal of the policy advanced by Roman Giertych, the education minister of the previous Polish government. Giertych had become the focal point of criticism by gay-rights activists last spring when he suggested that homosexual propaganda should be banned from public schools.
