Vatican Observatory to host astronomy conference September 18, 2007
From October 1 to 5, the Matteo Ricci center at Rome's Gregorian university will host an international conference on the formation and evolution of galactic disks.
About 210 astronomers from 26 countries are expected to take part in the conference. This will be the second international astronomers' conference hosted by the Vatican observatory; the first such effort took place in 2000.
