1,000 baptized at Peruvian mission retreat February 26, 2007
In the Peruvian Andes, a youth mission concluded on February 25 with the baptism of over 1,000 young people.
The “Great Mission” was assisted by 140 lay missionaries from the lay movement Lumen Dei, from the cities of Lima, Cuzco, Arequipa and Tacna. The event lasted three weeks, during which the lay missionaries preached in the Macusani, Corani, and Ituaty provinces.
