Pro-lifers rally before Portugal's abortion referendum January 31, 2007
Roughly 20,000 people braved icy rain in Lisbon, Portugal to take part in a peaceful demonstration in defense of unborn human life on January 28.
More than 150 pro-life organizations, representing countries from all around the world, joined in the march. The demonstration was organized in advance of a nationwide referendum, scheduled for February 11, on a proposal to legalize abortion in Portugal.
