Hong Kong diocese will baptize over 2000 at Easter March 07, 2005
A great effort for mission undertaken by the diocese of Hong Kong is bearing fruit. According to the diocesan bulletin Kong Ko Bao, about 2,300 people will be baptized during Easter vigil Masses this year.
Most of those who will be baptized completed their preparation on Sunday, February 27, the third Sunday of Lent. Bishop Joseph Zen and the auxiliary Bishop John Tong had a meeting with the 900 catechumens accompanied by their sponsors and catechists to certify their preparation. The remaining catechumens were to take part in similar events on the last two Sundays of Lent.
