Website Review: Madonnas of Mexico

A review based on: http://madonnasofmexico.com/index.html

Description

Besides the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, there is a host of OTHER noteworthy Marian shrines in Mexico: All have been approved by the Church, several have outstanding miracles associated with them and many are flocked by pilgrims. Blessed Pope John Paul has visited a number of them. Nine million pilgrims visit the Basilica of San Juan de los Lagos annually–it is the second most-visited shrine in the country. These are numbers which exceed those of Lourdes and Fatima. More than a million pilgrims visit the shrine of Our Lady of Zapopan(in Guadalajara)on her annual October 12th feastday. Pope john Paul has visited both of these shrines.

This website will feature a new shrine on a bi-monthly basis. Despite being widely known and visited by Mexicans these famous Mexican shrines are unknown to the English-speaking world. Many of these shrines are considered "architectural masterpieces." The website also features a photo gallery of shrines and Marian churches to be found throughout the country. There is also a children's page called LA VIRGENCITA ("the little Virgin").
