Catholic Recipe: Lyon Green Beans

  • 1/2 inch boiling water in saucepan
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/16 teaspoon pepper

DIRECTIONS

Boil beans 5 minutes in salted water, uncovered. Cover; cook 10 minutes. Drain; reserve. Sauté onion in butter in saucepan. Add beans and pepper. Cook 2 minutes. Serve hot. Yield, 6 servings
