Catholic Recipe: Claret Sauce for Broccoli

    INGREDIENTS

  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 8 ripe olives, sliced
  • 1/2 cup claret

A nice wine sauce for cooked brocoli.

DIRECTIONS

Cook onion in vegetable oil until lightly browned. Add remaining ingredients; cook and stir until heated through. Serve with cooked broccoli. Makes 4 servings.
