DIRECTIONS

Spread softened butter or cream cheese between 1 whole wheat and 1 white slice, sandwich fashion. Spread softened butter or cream cheese between 2 sandwiches, alternating white and whole wheat bread; press firmly together; trim off crusts; cut each block in half; wrap in wax paper; chill. To serve, slice crosswise.
