Catholic Recipe: Ribbon Sandwiches
The "ribbon" in these sandwiches is the white and wheat bread alternations.
Spread softened butter or cream cheese between 1 whole wheat and 1 white slice, sandwich fashion. Spread softened butter or cream cheese between 2 sandwiches, alternating white and whole wheat bread; press firmly together; trim off crusts; cut each block in half; wrap in wax paper; chill.
