Catholic Recipe: Cheese Tart Shells

  • 1 package pie crust mix
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

Starting with a store-bought pie pastry, adding cheese makes the shells rich and tasty. Serve with Creamed Shrimp.

DIRECTIONS

Prepare 1 package pie crust mix as directed on package. Roll out in oblong. Sprinkle 1/2 cup grated American Cheddar cheese over surface. Fold in thirds. Roll out 1/8 inch thick. Press into 6 tart shell pans. Prick surfaces with fork. Bake at 425° for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from pans.
