Catholic Recipe: Creamed Shrimp in Cheese Tart Shells


  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 6 Tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cups cooked lima beans
  • 2 cans (5 ounces each) shrimp
  • salt and pepper
  • 6 Cheese Tart Shells (see recipe)

Serve this simple creamed shrimp over cheese tart shells. A nice entree.


Melt butter or margarine; blend in flour, marjoram, and paprika. Add milk; stir until thickened. Cover and cook over hot water 10 minutes. Add lima beans and shrimp. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve in tart shells. Makes 6 servings.
