Catholic Recipe: Coffee Glaze
This glaze accompanies the petits fours.
Stir 2 tablespoons soft butter into 2 beaten egg yolks. Beat in 3 cups sifted confectioners' (powdered) sugar, adding enough cold strong coffee to make a thin icing that will run down sides of cakes.Recipe Source: Cook's Blessings, The by Demetria Taylor, Random House, New York, 1965
