Catholic Recipe: Bread and Cheese Puff
This simple recipe calls for the basics: bread, American cheese, and eggs.
Place 4 slices of bread on bottom of shallow baking dish, cutting to fit. Cover bread with half the cheese; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Repeat. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over bread and cheese. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until top is golden brown, puffed, and shiny. Serve at once.
