Catholic Recipe: Parboiled Shad Roe
This is another variation of cooking shad roe.
Prick with needle in several places to prevent membrane from bursting; cover with boiling water; add 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Simmer 3 to 12 minutes, according to size of roe. Drain; cool.
