Catholic Recipe: All-Star Dessert

  • 1 pint fresh blackberries
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream

This is a yummy dessert and quantities can be increased to fit the size of your party.


1. Cut the melons in half and scoop out and discard the seeds. 2. Rinse the berries and blot on paper towels. 3. Place half of the berries in a blender, add the sugar and the rum extract, and process until smooth. 4. Place scoops of ice cream in the melon cavities. Top with the remaining berries, and garnish with the sauce.
