Catholic Recipe: Snow Frosting

    INGREDIENTS

  • 1 egg white
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • Dash of salt
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon white corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

DIRECTIONS

Combine ingredients in top of double boiler. Beat with rotary egg beater over rapidly boiling water about 4 minutes, or until frosting stands up in stiff peaks. Remove from fire. Add almond extract and beat 1 minute, or until thick enough to spread.
