Catholic Recipe: Sauce Marinara

    INGREDIENTS

  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 2 cans (20 ounces each) Italian tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

DIRECTIONS

Heat oil in saucepan. Add garlic, basil, parsley. Cook 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper. Cook rapidly 30 minutes. Serve over pasta without cheese. Yield, 4 servings
