Catholic Prayer: Litany in Honor of Saint Alphonsus Maria de Liguori

Description:

This litany must have been written on the occasion of his canonization (1839), since it appears in 1844 in an old Dutch prayer-book, Missiebock, Mechelen. I find it also, in English, in Sadlier's Golden Manual of 1851, and of course in more recent books. It is in the Manual of the Purgatorian Society, reprint from the Manual C.SS.R. The Very Rev. William T. McCarty, C.SS.R., Provincial, kindly gave permission to include this in our collection.
