Catholic Activity: Morning Offering

Teach your children to recite some form of the Morning Offering as soon as they awaken in the morning.

DIRECTIONS

The brief Morning Offering of the Apostleship of Prayer is the morning prayer of millions throughout the world. It must be most pleasing to God and His Mother.

Here is an accepted form which, once learned, can become as natural as saying "Good morning." And it is just that — it is the day's greeting to God.

"O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer Thee my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Thy Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all our associates, for the reunion of Christendom, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father."
