Place your family under the protection of the Holy Family, who will aid you in teaching your children.

DIRECTIONS

At home there is no dismissal bell for either teachers or pupils. Teaching and learning are going on all the time. School is in session from the first moment of waking until evening prayers at bedtime. One might well say that school goes on twenty-four hours a day. For you retire only after having asked the Son of God and His Mother to watch over your family until morning. You relax in well-earned rest, quite certain that the protection of the Holy Family envelops the household. Children who live in a home where there is such faith will share in its security, just as they breathe air into their lungs whether asleep or awake.

Working mothers who place their children in nursery schools should carefully consider whether financial gain--in cases where work is not absolutely necessary-or a desire for freedom from housework warrants jeopardizing their children's sense of security. Mothers must not place a higher premium on acquiring luxuries than they do on bringing up their children.
