ULTIMATE
The last or final in a series, as the ultimate end or purpose of human existence to which all other goals are to be subordinated. Also that beyond which further analysis cannot be made, as the ultimate explanation of sin is God's permissive Providence. (Etym. Latin ultimatus, from ultimare, to come to an end, from ultimus, farthest, last.)
