TRIPTUCH
A three-leaved hinged tablet, in contrast to the two-leaved diptuch and many-leaved polytych. The names of persons to be commemorated in the liturgy were inscribed on these leaves. (Etym. Greek triptukhos, threefold: tri-, three + ptukh_, fold.)
