SUBSTANTIAL PRESENCE
The manner of CHrist's presence in the Eucharist, "according to the manner of a substance," as taught by the Council of trent. This means that the whole Christ is present in every portion of the Eucharist, similar to the presence of the entire substance of something, e.g., the human soul, in every part of the human body.
