SUBCONSCIOUS
The state of marginal attention, during which a person is only dimly aware of something. It also describes the condition of a person who is not aware of a certain mental process going on within him or her, although it affects a present attitude or moral character. The subconscious is recognized in Catholic pastoral theology as an important factor in human behavior.
