STATION
A term indicating where some part of a moving or progressive liturgical celebration takes place. Thus the new Liturgy for the Dead provides for three types of function: three stations, i.e., in the home, in church, and at the cemetery; two stations, i.e., in the cemetery chapel and at the grave; and one station only, in the home of the deceased.
