SOBORNOST
Russian term for community, used by the Catholic Eastern Christians to describe the quality needed for loving co-operation. Commonly applied to the Eucharistic liturgy as corporate worship. Among the Eastern Orthodox it describes their highest formof Church government, formed by their bishops.
