SENSE OF SIN
A salutary fear produced in the believing soul by a clear understanding of the nature and malice of sin. Its keenness depends on a person's holiness and is most sensitive among the saints. Its quality is an awareness of God's sanctity in contrast with one's own weakness, and therefore a sense of constant dependence on divine grace.
