QUO VADIS?
Latin words for the question that, according to legend, was asked of Christ by Peter as he was fleeing Rome during Nero's persecution. Christ is said to have answered, "I am coming to be crucified again." Peter took this as a rebuke, so he went back to be martyred. It is also the title of a famous Polish novel (1895) by Hendryk Sienkiewicz on the life of the early Christians in Rome during the reign of Emperor Nero.
