PRO COMPERTO SANE
Apostolic letter of Pope Paul VI on the incorporation of certain diocesan bishops as members of the sacred congregations of the Roman Curia. In virtue of this document the pattern was set for making diocesan bishops of residential sees full members of the Roman Curia, while remaining shepherds in their respective sees. One provision was that the plenary sessions of the congregations, with extraordinary powers, should as a rule he held annually (August 6, 1967).
