PODIUM
Any elevated platform. But especially the platform on which the Pope is carried when he officiates in a procession with the Blessed Sacrament. Part of the podium is a kneeler or seat for the Pope as he adores the Holy Eucharist. (Etym. Latin podium, elevated place, parapet, balcony.)
