NEUTRALISM
The policy of remaining neutral when the demands of faith or moral responsibility call for taking a stand. In philosophy, it is a type of pantheism that claims that reality is neither mind nor mater but something in between, of which mind and matter are only manifestations. This was the position of Spinoza (1632-77). (Etym. Latin neuter, neither the one nor the other.)
