MOUNT CARMEL SCAPULAR
Badge of the Confraternity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. It is brown in color and often ornamented with pictures, which are not essential. It originated with St. Simon Stock (1165-1265), English general of the Carmelites. The present formula for investiture was approved by Pope Leo XIII.
