MEMORY
The faculty by which a person preserves, reproduces, and identifies his or her past experiences. Training the memory is important for sound moral living. This is done by developing the habit of recalling often those ideas and states of mind which motivate good conduct, e.g., the presence of God, the example of Christ. Mental prayer, besides other benefits, helps to strengthen the memory for moral good.
